New York City’s Biggest Marching Band,Drumline, and Dance Battle!
ABOUT BATTLE
IN THE APPLE
Battle in the Apple was created in 2006 by the Brooklyn Music and Arts Program as an extension of it’s mission to enhance the physical and social developments of youth through the performing arts. Battle in the Apple is an opportunity for youth to showcase their talents and achievements in the arts.
The first Battle in the Apple showcased 13 step teams from the tri-state area,10 drumlines from across the east coast, 8 dance teams and 4 marching bands going head-to-head in an all-out music and marching battle. Today it has become the largest and most anticipated event in the arena of high school marching band, dance and stepping. We have successfully drawn an average audience of approximately 4,500 and have showcased over 1,500 youth participants at the past events and this year’s event is gearing up to be a huge success.
